Hello,

I have just purchased a 2010 Golf and we wish to replace the stock radio with a replacement that I had in my old car.

We have taken the old one out and bought an adaptor to connect it up and the cd player works fine, however the radio aerial in the car is a different connection.

What adaptor do i need to allow the aerial to fit?

Also, we have the new fascia panel for the radio but there is no mounting or supporting structure to hold the new radio in place securely.

What do we need here?

Thankyou

I can't point you in the right direction online, but, if you're not bothered about paying £10-15, most of the larger Halfrauds stores will sort you out with the adaptor, & if they haven't got it, nothing lost.

I asked Halfords about both issues.

They said they don;t sell the aerial adaptor I need and they didn;t know about the supporting structure inside.

Thanks anyway though.

Any other ideas guys?

I'm not sure about the actual model but it's a JVC which fits in the standard ca radio slot whcih is why we bought the appropriate fascia plate.

We had this JVC in a Toyota Avensis before this and that didn;t need additional internal support as the one the stock radio was mounted to could be used for the 3rd party radio but it's not the same in the Golf.

Have you never heard of Google?

It's a bit pointless in me suggesting my local one if you live in Timbuktu
