Looking to get one of these babies this evening for my second computer. Mainly for gaming/entertainment. Would you say this is a worthwhile moniter? Looked at Samsung and are not to keen on them. Budget is around 350 with p & p.

Thanks in advance,

Andy

Might be better off with a 20 inch widescreen if you are willing to spend £350 :)

I am sure that is a brilliant monitor though

VX922 doesn't have much to recommend it over something like a Samsung 930BF, and it's £100 more, but it's your money. VP930 is probably the best all-round 19" screen, but it's kinda ugly. As Raikiri says, there's some nice new 20" widescreens for that budget now :)

the VX922 is certainly a very fast screen for gaming. It doesn't really offer much, if any, real performance improvement over the 4ms / 3ms rated VX924 though, so if you can still get the VX924 then it might be worth saving the money if you've got your heart set on these models. The panel isn't really well suited to movies however, being let down by the restrictive viewing angles inherent to TN Film technology and to the noise in movie playback which is only made worse by the aggressive overdrive application. If you have that kind of budget then you could get a much more all rounded model like the Viewsonic VP930, arguably one of the best all round screens in the market. the Belinea 102035W might also be worth a look, and the extra screen size and WS aspect are really nice for movie watching if that is something you might use the screen for
