I've just bought myself a brand new ViewSonic VX922, however something strikes me as a bit weird, I have it set in 1280x1024, but for some reason the refresh rate won't go above 60Hz, usually I have it set at 75Hz...

Is this to do with my graphics card or a monitor restriction? I have a Gainwood 512mb 6800GS (AGP). I have the monitor hooked up via DVI, anyone know why I'm getting this with the refresh rate?

it's a windows bug, if you really want to run at 75hz the monitor can support it as it's maximum setting. However, something to note, the optimum and recommended refresh rate for a TFT is 60Hz anyway and they are designed to run at that setting. forcing the refresh higher can have an adverse effect on the overdrive which the VX922 uses a large application of to achieve its fast response times. It may well impact the performance of the monitor if you force it outside its recommended setting
