as an ex mechanic of 7 years VAG experiance i had a thought about watercooling

has anyone ever thought of super glueing the coolant pipes to the blocks to have zero chance of leakage in that area ?

then a cable tie would be ample as well (less hassle than doing up jubilee clips etc. methinks)

to remove you can stanley knife off, then sand away the residue super glue with varying grades of sand paper to bring out/inlets back to new

this is what mechanics sometimes do on car coolant hoses using araldyte or something so as to minimise risk of coolant hoses blowing off

what are your thoughts?

Sounds like a lot of work when you have to change coolant, pipes or upgrade?

The plastic clips work well enough why use anything else?

im not being funny, but you must have used a jubille clip?

the hassle is negligble and leaks tend to occour where the fittings meet blocks/rads/pumps more than where the pipe meets the barb or quick-fit.
