Ok, about to splach out on the following:

Swiftech Apogee - CPU
Swiftech MCW60 - GPU
Swiftech MCP655 - Pump

Thermochill 120.3 Radiator
inc. Performance Shroud, Gasket & Barbs

All 1/2" barbs.

Last Questions:

Resorvoir - Unsure what to go for, any rec's. ?
Tubing - Clearflex 60 or Masterkleer 7/16" ? Need something easy to work with.
Additive - Zerex, or is there something better ??

Am looking at placing orders this afternoon, to go alongside my new E6600 and Bad Axe 2 :D

Well, guess no one wants to help ol' Arth *sniff*

Besides, gonna go with the Switech Micro-Res. Not as pretty as a Aquatube, but easier to install/work with :)

Zerex will be fine been using it for yrs without problems. For tubing i use Clearflex for nearly all of my setup execept for the graphics card inlet and outlet where the bends are more extreme and therefore prone to kinking so i use the more bendy tygon tubing for that.

If its the PA version of the rad i wouldnt bother with the shroud as it makes the combination huge plus apparently there is only a very small increase in performance because the rad is so good.

I brought the shroud but never installed it due to space.

tubing.. I'd be happy with tygon, dangerden clearflex, masterkleer or (my personal favourite but I seem to be on my own with this) xspc

additives.. only ever used swiftech hydrx, mostly I use nothing, just deionised water. I think additives are overrated.

res.. don't if you have space concerns or you don't want to bling it up, if you do then either a swiftech micro res or a dangerden drive bay res. Personally I find a res makes a system easier to fill and bleed but its entirely down to personal preference.

Looks like a nice setup. I hope you're planning to dump A LOT of heat with that 120.3. Apogee is a good block. Isn't that nexxos one meant to be better? I can't remember.

T-line or small res of your choice tbh. Makes no difference apart from size/position in the loop, which depends on your case.
Tygon is the best, but most expensive. Masterkleer or clearflex are both good and cheap.
Zerex is fine. Hydrx and water wetter are popular but there have been some problems. If you're hardcore enough a few drops of Iodine is enough :D

i use tygon tubing and its the bees-knees, also the apogee waterblock, another great product :) almost equal to the storm G4 with much less flow restriction i have heard :)

iodine is still a must.

personally i prefer zerex... i like red :D

but iodine is a must !!
make sure its not the stuff boots sell which is alcohol based... alcohol is a no no !!

tygon tubing IMHO is easier to work with. maskerkleer is not at all what id consider to be 'easy'

res - again i prefer T lines - less tubing, less restriction, easier to use ( i think so anyway, and im leet )

To All: Thanks for oyur replies.

The radiator is indeed a PA120.3, and I'll be maxing a E6400 and X1900GT out on it for the time being until cheaper quad cores come along and the R600 makes an appearance.

Thanks for the suggestions. As for a Res, I think Swiftechs Micro Res will do the trick and I've gone with the Masterkleer tubing. Just thinking on the additive now :)

so what is all this fuss about iodine I've started hearing?

anyone fancying linking me up to some evidence that its worth looking at?? Cheers! :D

I always put a couple of drops of iodine in my loop - keeps the nasties at bay (algae). Currently use nothing but Iodine, algae and a little coolant for its anti-corrosive properties mixed with di-ionised.

Presumably it kills tiny plants better than zerex :)

(nice sig :D )

I'm sure it does, I just want to know how everyone has come to this conclusion...

(cheers, some wicked dude from html made it for me :D)

Iodine is toxic, so it stops things living I guess. I hadn't heard about it until the other day on here, it's a new concept to me too :)

Makes more sense to me than buying additive to kill things, just put some toxic chemical in. Keep the additive for its anti-corosion properties only. Use less? To keep the water good and pure.

Reservoir doesn't really matter
Tubing - Tygon 1/2"
Additive - Swiftech Hydrx is better than Zerex, exactly the same thermally really, except also has biocide.

Bugger.

I was just about to order the Swiftech res today and there out of stock.

Will the barbs on the dangerden drive bay res' conflict with the other parts of my loop ? As in, I'm gonna need to get some anti-corrosion additive ?
