w would you rate my system/components ?

To be honest sounds like the £440 you were offered was a good price, componenets drop like a stone, for example the 8800 GTX was about £370 when out new, second hand now worth maybe £50 tops.

The most valuable component you have is the PSU, might be worth up to £60
 
yeah at the time Im sure it was a great rig, however now you could build a better performing new rig for less than 500 easy, prob 400, yours is second hand so as Mike says youve had v good offers, cant give you an actual price as there are no price checks outside the members market (check FAQ)
 
basically, go back to the guy who offered 440, rip his arm off, then build a better spec'd system for the same money or wait for january and lots of new tech to come and dazzle ya ;)
