Some of you may have read my thread a week or two back about the ZT and the amazing value for money that it offers...well today, I picked up a 03 plate ZT CDTi 135+ absolutely fully loaded with only 50k on the clock (in Anthracite) for the princly sum of £7k!!!

The drive home (some 80 odd miles) was a real pleasure, and I can hand on heart say that it matches the 3series in comfort and equipment levels and the poke from the 2LitreD (although subtely different from the 320d) equally matches the performance of the heavier 3er...Chipped or mapped, this car is going to be a pleasure to drive..

Road noise from the 18"s was fine, noticeably a diesel at idle but not when driving, very smooth acceleration and (dare I say it in case of getting flamed) sublime handling for a car of this size (i'm not comparing it with a Saxo, i'm just saying the ZT has an incredibly good feel and feedback through the wheel is superb)....believe it or not, understeer is just non existent, and the car can sometimes feel like the rear will break first....MG have worked wonders with this chassis...its a real shame it wasnt marketed better..

Picture to follow tomorrow when its sunny again and i've given it a quick polish.......

I went around Curborough in a ZT190. Amazed at how smooth and quiet it was and yet it still handled fantastically, loads of grip.

Nice choice :)

Still got the 3er nick, and please dont worry, I really HAVE NOT forgotten your CDs.... [/feel bad mode]

Rich, this has 'panned out' very nicely for me, and after tonight, I can confirm that the handling (for such a size car) is simply amazing, I cant put my finger on it, but grip is just outstanding...literally...outstanding....

I am very very happy and the build quality of the motor is sublime...yes, there are niggles (but there are with every car) and as long as your careful you'll find a good one...

This one was one owner from new with full history, I really couldnt have asked for more, and easy change from £10k....this car 3 years ago was circa £25k!!!!

Hehe, no probs at all mate. Been quite busy at work, so not been able to do much to the car recently - other than drive it . Been planning though, so should be lightening my wallet after Easter - would be nice to know what I can spend my cash on :D
