Hi

does anyone know how to get the creative ae-5 to run on w10 64 pro v1903. I have been trying for weeks now to get it running, it installs and runs at first but then reboot and no sound so I have to then uninstall and reinstall only to have to repeat the process time and again. Its so annoying that you buy a £100 card and then not be able to use it because w10 f...s it up!

I have the gigabyte x470 aorus gaming 7 motherboard in my sig and have tried the onboard sound which is supposed to be a very good onboard realtec sound but even that wont run properly on this version off windows, I can get it running but have no realtec sound control panel to make settings....I am really p...ed off with this crap at the moment

W10 just disables and seems to be overiding my setting on each boot.

Does anyone have any ideas or know of any drivers i could try to try and fix this issue, I have seen thousands of similar posts on other forums about this issue but no one has solved it that I know off.

HELP!

I have one but on an asus crosshair board, do you have speakers on your monitor? I find sometimes if I switch on the pc before the monitor it changes the output to the monitor speakers even though I have disabled them, but apart from that not had any issues
My Soundblaster connect is version 3.2.28.0

I have the same version....dont have an issue with the monitor speakers...they are all ways disabeled. ...are you on w10 pro v1903 or home version

Win 10 Pro 1903, had been running it for a while and have recently done a clean install. The only thing I do is disable the onboard in BIOS, shouldn't have to but best practice anyway, install the soundblaster software and then seems fine, have notice a couple of times it can change the output to my vive but not sure what causes it and switch it back and seems fine.
I also noticed if you change from another device back to the AE5 and click the volume increase it doesn't always play, just switch to something else, through the speaker by the clock, and back again and is then fine.

There are lots of reported problems with Win10 1903 and Creative cards and they need MS to fix it. If you updated to 1903 recently, you might still be able to rollback the update.
