Good evening guys.
I come to you with a problem, and one that I have put up with for a while now!

So during downloads on either Steam/Origin (and I assume anything else that requires large file downloads...) my connection will run fine, and then all of a sudden the download speed will slowly decrease and my USB Wifi adapter will just cut off.

It never seems to be a certain amount of time, it can happen within a minute, or usually go 5/10 minutes before completely dropping out. Also, it lasts longer on the 2.4ghz signal than what it does on the 5ghz signal (this usually drops within a 30 seconds to 1 minute)

The only solution I have found which didn't work was turning off disable device to save power

thanks for reading, and happy new year!

Sounds like the device might be dying as I had a similar issue with a PCI-E adapter a long time ago that ended up defective.

If it is still in warranty I would recommend sending it back but if not now might be the time to consider a replacement. The only other option would be to try the device in another USB port to make sure that it is receiving the correct amount of power to function as it is unlikely but it could be a defective USB port.

Hope I could help and good luck with your adapter :)
