Behind you... Naked!
Well, I have also taken the dive now its here.

Like many, I have been tickering with the various flavours of releases, and I have had various levels of enjoyment out of it.

I have decided first, to throw it onto my Linuc Laptop. This is because there is a Windows 7 Pro Licence on it that I have not used for a hell of a long time ( well, I havbe no need to since that Lappy is only used for Linux ) and so, I stuffed in a spare SSD and a HD, installed Win7, did all the updates, then mounted the ISO, and went for it.

This is how I have done it on both that Laptop, my normal Windows Laptop, and my test PC.

I have NOT tried it on my main PC... Thats running 8.1 and I really dont need to risk wrecking a perfectly stable PC just to give it an unecessary update.

But on my Linux Laptop, it went in just fine, is activated as it should be, and the drivers were all in just peachy, and it is looking like its all gone in just fine! - Im leaving it there for a few days, and I have asked the kids to use it as much as they want to, to give it a run about... See how it goes.

My main Laptop however, has been a bit of a swine.

Firstly, 8.1 Pro, is running flawlessly, and is fuly up to date etc etc, I mountedf the ISO, went through the installation, and it all went perfectly fine, and I got to the desktop with everything all fully intact, and right at that point, it was finished installing. I was fully able to use the Laptop as I had done before, however, when I shut it down and restarted it, it got sort of stuck in an annoying loop, where the screen was black, and the mouse pointer was quickly flickering between the arrow and a busy circle???

It never seemed to get out of that.

I have tried getting into SAFEMODE using the F8 but it never allowed this, and no matter what I did, I was simpoly unable to sort it out.

My laptop syncronises with my Desktop, and I never use it for anything more than playing a few games anyway, or a few things when Im out, so its not a problem to simply wipe and restart, so what I did, was try a Windows 7 install and update it that way, to see if there was anything that was wrong with my Win 8.1 setup... Whatever the reason?. But it did the exact same thing with Windows 7 too! - went all the way through all peachy but then on a shutdown and restart, it failed to get past the flickering mouse??? - and yet it shutdown and restarted a fair few times throughout the actual install.

Now, I do NOT have a Windows 10 licence, and when I try to insert the Windows 7 or Windows 8 Serials, they are not accepted.

This is annoying me to say the least.

Anyway, I have today, thrown it onto a test PC. Im a bit iffy about that because I hear that I will NOT be able to transfer the licence over, but I thought sod it, I might as well, and thats running the Win 8 ( not 8.1 ) and thats installed just fine and its running fairly well and so far, I have not had any issues with it... In fact, Im on it right now doing this.

So, there is the annoying parts... Its installed just fine on the 2 systems that I dont want it on, but it has failed to install onto the one Laptop that I do want it on.

The Laptop in question, is a Clevio 640 and in honesty, I have had weird issues in the past with often random times after an install where it simply will not install a certain device ( always the same device - dont know the bit right now ) and so I have thought that it may be that, but...?

Now, I use Windows 8.1 on my main PC, and I am using a few extras such as Start 8 ( Or I think its ClassicShell to be honest, but they are the same thing ) and I also use Modern Mix, to made any Windows apps run inside a window, and so the way I see it, is that Windows 10, is only going to give me ,exactly what modern mix has been giving me all this time anyway, and so I am not going to waste my time on it on my main PC.

Im waffling and so thats it.
