i installed w10 using the upgrade option in w7 last summer when it was released and have read a lot online about the novempber major update (think it was 1511), i am a bit confused tho as when i upgraded the build number was 1024, and as of today the same build is still showing on my pc. i have auto update enabled and if i search in the update menu then no new updates are found. the pc seems to install patches fine (edge browser, security etc) but i see no sign of any build updates. any help?

All fixed! I had to go online with Microsoft themselves for them to sort it out. They were confused as although I upgraded to 10 last year in August, I was still being given the option to roll back to w7, something which should have been gone after 30 days. No idea why that option still existed but they could see that I had upgraded last year. Only way they could get my system to upgrade was to reinstall w10 while my out of date build was installed. They tried to fix my updater but it made no diff. Whatever they did from their end has worked, w10 installed again, still have all my files and the roll back to 7 option has now gone. Dunno why that happened and have not heard of anyone else with this prob.
