Any chance anyone here has had one? I fancy a comfy bargey type car for the mild weather approaching and garaging the DB9 instead.

Always liked these CL500s and seem cracking as from what I can see no one else really does an S class type coupe car?

I know it's crappy justification :p

They're not too popular in the UK and the Yanks are just OTT with their BS on the forums so there isn't much help on the forums.

Agreed.

Don't understand the relevance on my purchase though, unless doing a bank transfer from my back account from money I earnt to purchase a car in my name is considered parents money

Question for genuine interest rather than trying to derail the thread - what do you do for a living? Just curious as there's not many occupations where you could earn enough to afford cars like these - I'm assuming you're relatively young which makes it even more interesting. The only people I know at my age who earn even remotely enough to afford cars like these work far too many hours to even think about cars (doctors) or do more "normal" jobs in central London so have to spend all their money on renting a tiny flat and £12 pints of beer

I have no experience with them but know someone who has one, a CL500. He loves it and it appears to have been reliable other than a mega expensive service he had recently where something to do with the suspension needed to be replaced. His is an early one though, a 2008 I think.

Well I switched my plans to a S500 as a good one came up with 50k miles. Huge amount of spec that I couldn't miss, distronic plus, nightvision (pointless), designo leather, dark maroon, dynamic seats, HK sound system etc.

Day pics await!

Not having to touch the pedals in traffic is just simply brilliant :D

I do love that generation S class, but looks wise it doesn't even come close to the W216, which is one of the best looking cars of the last 10 years IMO.

It also came with the AMG pack. Honestly love the distronic plus. Wouldn't ever bother getting one without it.

Nightvision has also come in surprisingly handly.
