Ive just taken over support at a company running W2K server 2000 running Active directory and 1 domain. Altogether the network was a mess with no documentation with lots of old equipment.
Background on me is that I've very competent on PCs and networks but have never really managed a W2K Server environment.
The domain server has a number of shares defined which need to be accessed by various users.
This can be done but only if I specify administrator username and password on the map. If I go in to look at the explicit permissions of the share, then whilst everyone is specified as having permissions, if I go into Add... then this is not the list of Active Directory users listed.
Another servers within the network does see the domain list under permissions.
Can anyone tell me why I'm not seeing that list?
