w32 spybot worm removal

hey all,

I support a windows 2000 system which has norton anti-virus installed and it will pop up a message every few minutes saying this has been found. Norton has quarantned it but i still get this error message every 5 minutes.

Is there any tool that will remove this blasted thing from my machines????

This is a work pc and as such only freewhere will do.

boot up in safe mode, (spam F8 from post) and scan from there will get it and remove it

Depending on the box, spamming F8 from boot can lock the keyboard.

I'm unable to boot to safe mode as it's in a remote loaction and the staff on site have no pc training (its hard to get them to press "any" key sometimes!!)

is there anyway of doing this remotley???

hi,

The pc in question is in a fast food chain office that we support.
It has a xml file showing the staff only the apps that they can use.

The other isues that due to the domain any updates for norton have to be done via AD, of which i have no control.

i guees i'll have to pass this over to the network admins. i was looking for a "tick the make it work box" answer, in the form of a simple file that would just remove it.
