Hi All,

Been checking out Ubuntu netbook remix recently (i've now completed my OS hatrick!!) and I have to say it is really very good (both Ubuntu and NBR front end that is).

Now, I was wondering if anyone is aware of any similar sort of switchable/selectable 'front end' that is designed for Netbook screens in W7 (or even XP for that matter)?

Having played with the NBR (and liking it a lot) it seems to me that a W7 would probably have an even bigger impact and be would be a very good thing indeed (as long as you can easily switch between the standard desktop and the custom front end as per NBR as there are clearly times when you just want the normal desktop).

What do you guys think? Would you want such a feature? Are you aware of any projects to produce such a front end?

the Win7 front-end has bigger elements than the one in Vista and XP, so is natively more suitable for netbooks :)

Yeah, I have W7 on my desktop PC (but have yet to try it out on my netbook).

However, W7 is still a regular desktop interface (which I like a lot by the way!), but the NBR of Ubuntu has taken a bit of a different approach to screen realestate that I am intrigued by (and enjoying using too).

I would be very interested in seeing what a W7 netbook with a similar interface would be like.

I have it on my new NC10 and have just tweaked it tonight, Running nicely

Anyone have a decent firefox theme for NC10/netbooks?

looking to slim down the browser a bit
