W7 aero lost after resume from sleep.

Has anybody come across this issue?

PC comes out of sleep mode just fine but the windows 7 theme gets reset to basic everytime, has done it with three different driver revisions.

Also causes games to lock up and stutter badly until the pc is restarted.

Nvidia GTS250 is the card in question and using Windows 7 home premium.

Have you got all windows updates? Is there anything in the event viewer regarding problems when your computer resumes from sleep?

All is up date, nothing in the event log that I saw, it just drops down to basic.

I've occasionally had this on a cold boot as well. If you go into display settings I'm guessing you can't re-enable Aero or increase the resolution either - it's as if the drivers have gone missing.

Unfortunately I don't have a fix. Mine is a laptop with integrated graphics (intel I think) so can't really blame a specific vendor.
