W7 cant login - usb no power cant type pw

Suddenly cant login to W7, mouse and keyboard are not working on the enter password screen :/

Only thing ive done is install ATI's new drivers last night, mouse and keyboard have power up till and at the starting windows screen, then just before the enter password the lights go off and i cant use either, is my w7 install bricked ?

Anyone know a way to fix this ? ive tried everything unplugged, removed my 2nd display etc

really hope i dont have to format, dual booting vista and vista has no problems.
 
Able to get in through safe mode? Not tried it but I'm guessing Windows 7 has a safe mode you can access via F8 if you tap it just before/after the windows loading screen starts.

strip off the ATI driver or even better have a look in the event log to see if there's any clues.
 
Ok booted into safe mode, removed password.
Can get to desktop now but usb is still dead, gonna remove the ati drivers now see if that helps
 
Rolled back the ati drivers in device manager and problems solved, dodgy drivers from ati by the looks of it :/
