Hi,

Was wiping my keyboard the other day (dry microfibre cloth), stupidly left it on whilst doing so. It seems the button mashing has activated some strange extra shortcuts that are most annoying and I don't know how to revert. E.g. pressing '2' will hit enter (or open a 'run' box in Np++), pressing 'ins' will type an 'x', pressing lctrl sometimes brings up windows help and some others that I can't quite pinpoint.

google isnt turning up much, tried rebooting, fiddling around with keyboard/language settings in control panel, reinstalling drivers, nothing worked.

running W7 x64, keyboard is an eclipse wireless litetouch.

soo ... yeah. help? :p

Solved.

Never thought about trying it on another machine. Had the same issue when i plugged it into my laptop so the problem was clearly hardware related.

the solution? I figured rough button mashing got me into this mess so something similar might get me out. So I tipped it on its side over the bin and bashed it a lot! Dislodged a load of **** that has built up over time (eww...) and when I was done the problem was gone. I guess something metallic must have slipped between the keys and shorted something.
