edit: solved. I was right and had answered my own question, I needed the nvidia drivers to be installed as well
I've just installed w7 pro 64 bit on my new dell latitude e6520. I am in the process of installing drivers:
chipset, storage audio and video (intel) are done
to go are the other video (nvidia), networkm, wifi, bluetooth, touchpad and freefall sensor
and when I click: windows logo> arrow by shut down
the sleep button is greyed out and I can't click it. Also when I go into power settings etc there is no mention of sleep settings.
Does anyone know what is causing this?
am I being impatient and I need the nvidia drivers installed too perhaps?
I have looked in the bios under power management and there is nothing that looks appropriate.
