W7 student... What do I do?

I have an OEM version of XP, I then upgraded my computer (motherboard, processor etc)and installed W7 RC... Am I going to be able to upgrade using the windows 7 student offer? Will I have to 'downgrade' to XP to be able to do so???! and surely I can't downgrade because it was OEM version and I've changed the motherboard...

The OEM was only valid for the previous motherboard. I am sure that W7 upgrade would work but it wouldn't be legal.

You'll have to do a clean install if you have any of the beta or release candidate builds.
