When using windows 7, my mouse cursor will all of a sudden just double in size for no reason. Only when do get it back to normal is to reboot.

Anyone has a similar thing happen to them?

ahh, just googled (should have done that first..). Its an ATI driver fault and/or gigabyte motherboard driver fault.

Yeah, I was gonna say - the close/maximize/minimize buttons have got bigger but the mouse cursor hasn't.

other way around for me, everything stays normal except the mouse cursor, that increases. Found other forums with the answers, but i dear link them hear!

The mouse cursor has been buggy for about 15 years on ATI graphics card. I can remember my ancient ATI Rage Fury card even doing it. I still see it today on their modern cards. Sometimes the mouse cursor just flickers and becomes twice as large for a split second.

They don't seem to care.

Never had that issue and I've been using ATI cards since the 8500. The problem this thread is about is a Gigabyte BIOS bug.

 I've used quite a few ATI cards over the years and never encountered that before...

hmmm just bought myself a ATI card and I have a Gigabyte mobo so I guess if my cursor increases in size I know why now.. :( Is there any fix for this by any chance, I mean.. in case it does happen to me, although reading sr4470 comments, he never had this problem before, so maybe I will be lucky!

What's your full PC specification? When I say quite a few, I mean nearly everything from ATI Rage up to the Radeon HD4870 :p and the latter was in a Gigabyte motherboard as well. I haven't used Windows 7 though..

Well, right now I have it as this..

Win7 Ultimate 32Bit
6 HDD's
ASUS Sonar D2
1 DVD Writer
1 Blue-Ray & HD DVD Drive
1 Floppy
(8800GTX) But this will be changed to a Powercolor 4890 1GB PCS+ when I receive it in a couple of days.

Running on a Corsair HX Series 520W Modular PSU. Also, the 6 HDD's will soon be cut down when I install my hot swap bay, I might end up with 3 or 4 HDD's, depends on if I can find another SATA cable or not.

Do you have PhysX software installed?

I'm out of ideas then, i'm guessing you already checked the Windows 7 accessibility settings in control panel?

Uhmm I think we got things a bit cross wired here.. my first comment about this problem was that I am soon going to have a ATI card and that I have a Gigabyte mobo, which seem to be a common dominator in this problem with the cursor.. I don't have a problem with it right now, having a nVidia card right now..

Hope that makes a bit more sense? :o

Sorry. I misread your first post.

Latest beta bios for most Gigabyte boards fixes it, though it seems to mostly affect their P55 Intel boards I think.
