W8 install questions

I have downloaded W8 Pro and saved it as an ISO to a disk.

Do have to boot the system up and run the Disk to install and upgrade or can I run the disk from my desktop and install the upgrade?


I will back up my files etc, but will the upgrade delete my emails etc?

Upgrades can be installed from the desktop. If you are not reinstalling outlook, your emails should be ok. What type are your email accounts (gmail etc?)

It it just Windows Mail running on my system.
