Ok, I think im gonna make the move to a contract as im spending £20-30 a month on pay and go with the phone I currently have. Which of the 3 in title are the best?

From what I can see all the 810i has to offer over the 800 is that it is quad band. Its also slightly heavier, less talk time/standby time and doesnt come with bluetooth. Where can it be used with quad band, in vietnam jungle or somewhere?

Any other options on what phone is good? Id really like one with a camera that has a fast response time but i know this is more or less out of the question with all phones

sorry, either my eyes are deceiving me but look at this - from the o2 site

Sony Ericsson W800i

Talk Time

Sony Ericsson W810i
Standby Time
Up to 350 hours
Talk Time
Up to 8 hours
------
from the Orange site

Sony Ericsson W800i

Sony Ericsson W810i

a lot of w810i reviews ive seen suggest it has a better battery life so i wouldnt trust the specs from o2 site.

im was in a similar situation (payg -> contract) until this morning. I went for the w810i because of the looks and the host of features it has. I know its very similar to the w800i but why go for the old model when you can get the new one :) However you can probably get a better deal with the w800i.
i went with vodafone, £20 a month plus £20 for the handset so it wasnt that bad. Also 3months halfprice line rental.

I've got the w810 and think its an awsome phone. And thats come from a lifetime of nokia!

Although regards the battery life mines only lasting about 2 days at the moment. But i'm sure thats only because its got too many features that I keep playing with! Be interested to see how long it lasts under normal use.

the n70 is a v decent phone. personally im waiting for the n80 out next month though. wireless on it :) gonna be sweet if you can wait.

thanks all. for the £20 month what free minutes/texts do you get?

Im looking at orange £19 a month with 50 any time call minutes and 500 texts. I'll then blag o2 as ive been with them for 5 years to get me the same deal but abit better! :)

i renew my contract next month and im thinking about the W810i. i think it will nice having a small er phone in my pocket than my XDA2i at the min

its anytime 125 tariff with 250 texts. Also stop the clock feature! chat upto an hour and only pay for 3mins of it. offpeak only tho.

Difference between w810 and w800 is small - mainly design I think.

I wouldn't say it's worth spending loads more to get the w810, but if they are both free on contract, go with whatever one you think looks best.

the w810i doesn't have a silly joystick which will break after a few months. Something to note if you are keeping the phone for 12/18 months.
