W800i Firmware, cant get it to work

ive downloaded the update service off the sony ericsson site and installed. but when i double click on the Update Service icon, the computer shows the egg timer for a second then after that nothing happens?

I've just installed it and got exactly the same problem. Which is a pain as my card reader has died and I want some new music on it without it killing the card via usb!
