They look like a bunch of redneck village idiots with not a brain cell between them. None of them look like Jax or Opie, much to my total surprise.

Saw this earlier. Northern Ireland is a small place. All we had was The Chosen Few (not affiliated with the US CF). H.A or the like never had a presence although they have been in England since the 60s (I think even the H.A thought "we're not ****ing with that"). Then about ten years ago The Chosen Few got H.A prospect status. As far as I know they're fully patched now.

The H.A and the Bandidos fought it out in the 90s in Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. It was known as the "Great Nordic biker war". I think at one point one of the gangs used an RPG on another gangs club house.

Mentalists.

Oh. My brother got his **** kicked in by the Chosen Few when he was a teenager too. Saw a bunch of them coming out of a bar in Carrick and called them a bunch of "stinking hippy *******s". He laughs about it now, says "I was never so happy to see two cops running in my direction".

Wow lucky brother.

Nutters. I find it difficult to understand the mindset tbh, what's it for? There are a few custom riders in my area, although not patched, they're still unfriendly. Try to nod to them as they ride past and at best they'll blank you.

what's it for?

Most biker gangs started with returning veterans. H.A started after WW2. Bandido's was originally 'Nam vets. The Pagan's were formed by a former Army medic. The Mongols formed in '69, Vietnam era, but was mostly made up of native American and Latinos (H.A tends to be whites only, though there have been exceptions). The Vagos are another latin gang who formed after a split with the Psychos in the 60s.

I guess it gives those returning to civvy street some kind of structure and brotherhood, which the only other place you can get is in the military. Though not all gang members have seen a war zone, a large number of them are ex-military. The gangs are run like military units. You'll die for your brothers and all that. And then it gives a sense of family and belonging as well and structure and purpose to societies misfits and outcasts...

I've been fascinated by biker gangs since I first read Hunter S. Thompsons book about them.

Money, same as any other gang really.

Chopper riders here tend to be rich accountants who like to pretend their mean bikers lol.

One of the groups looked like carbon copies of clay - almost all of them white hair, white beard, stereotypical jacket, etc.

We have the wolverhampton chapter of the hells angels, near me

2 minutes from my house, they throw a cracking bonfire night party no such thing as health and safety though so best to practice your stop drop and roll before hand.

Keep trying. I've had a few nods from Harley riders / patched / custom riders :D
