So i just got this Wacom tablet, and i got it for free from a friend, he was going to throw it away. i take it home, plug it into my pc and everything installs fine Windows 7 knows what it is and sorts it all out for me and then, its when i realise that i do not have a pen for it

i have tried and ordinary stylus and that doesn't work and i am pretty sure that the tablet is installed correctly because i removed the drivers installed by 7 and then continued to install drivers from teh wacom site, aswell as the power light being turned on and the device showing up in device manager.

i have scouted around the net and i cannot turn up a pen for the original Intuos1 anywhere, does anyone have any ideas? or better still have an old pen that they nolonger need and they want to sell/give to a good home :P

i am so frustrated actauly, have been used a crappy unbranded 6x4" for ages and cannot afford a decent bigger wacom so this seemed perfect, being that it's atleast 12"x12"

i did :p

and i already spotted that one on the bay, "This grip pen will work on any Wacom Cintiq 15X, 17SX, or 18SX. Not for use with any other Cintiq." only works with the Cintiq, mine is an original Intuos also know as the Intuos1, model number is GD-1212-U.

I found one for yours... how much you willing to pay? I don't work with tablets but to me it seems expensive for a pen.. price is £85. Lemme know if you want the link :)

yeah wouldn't mind the link, spent ages looking earlier and couldn't find one anywhere.. but yeah, linky me please :p

I hate to disappoint you, the link turned out to be intuos 3, I have been looking for the past 10 minutes all over the net for you... seems a little hopeless at the moment.

It seems Amazon were doing them a while ago.. but now they show as product unavailable which is unfortunate. Maybe contact the company directly and they might have some spares laying about and actually be nice to you :)

Other than that, good luck with your search :D

Yeah, i thoguht you were going to say that cause i thought i had found one earlier and turned out to the for the intuos3 too =[
