We are going through belgian waffles like there out of fashion in our house.
I think the wife is hooked, waffles, double cream and maple syrup, and I have to admit the are BLOODY good !!
I think to curb the waffle spending I may buy a waffle maker, seen a few recipe ideas, this way they will be fresh and the idea of having to make them will hopefully wear off thus stop eating waffles and maple syrup.
Anyone have a waffle maker ? and has anyone made their own waffles ?
Im talking sweet waffles and not potato waffles

Lol yea quite messy too cleaning the waffle iron

Prepare the waffle MIX - 5mins
Cook the Waffle - 3 mins
Eat the Waffle - 30 Sec's
Clean the Waffle Iron - 10 Mins or if left to dry (20 Mins)

LOL sod it Buy them in a packet bish bash bosh job done :-)

I bought the GF one of these (http://www.yourkitchenstore.co.uk/2010/12/indulgence-3-in-1-sandwichdoughnutwaffle-maker/) last year as she wanted to try and make donuts (never happened). Its obviously not going to be the best or anything but it works and if you get bored and never use it again then its only £20ish. We have used it a few times for the odd toastie and more recently for waffles. It does the job and its cheap. We also use a recipe for the waffles that makes good pancakes in the frying pan.

Edit: Requires very little cleaning we found. A touch of oil brushed on the inside, waffle cooks till its set on the outside. Take out the waffle and theres no remnants left inside.... unlike the cheese toastie maker....
