wait, World Of Tanks and War Thunder with Tanks ???

Hi guys. I used to be a rather addicted WOT player a few years ago, also I started to play War Thunder around a year ago for my plane fix. I've just loaded up War Planes for a quick blast, and now they have a tank element as well which seems very similar to WOT?? What happened? Did they combine or something?

Can anyone give me a quick descrip of what has happened? are they still 2 separate games? which one is the tank king now? which is the more fun grown up game to play? Gotta admit, I absolutely adored WOT, War Thunder with planes was good but never got addicted as I did in WOT. On first appearances, tanks in War Thunder looks really nice

Nope, War Thunder tanks is its own thing, WOT is still going too but they are different.

In war thunder battles you can now fly planes and drive tanks in the same battle in some game modes

War thunder got a tanks mode. It's about as realistic as the planes mode (I.e. in arcade there's not much realism, but in RB you get a bit more and in simulator even more) whilst World of Tanks remains more arcade-like and more focused on gameplay than historical accuracy in some cases

hmm so you reckon turning my attention to War Thunder tanks for good battles, good realism and a more adult player base?

war thunder ground forces is great fun and the damage is more realistic, not hit point based like WoT. now that the aircraft have joined in it makes it more fun. cant wait till they have the ships in and combine the lot.

so i recommend war thunder.

just started playing war thunder again this morning but the ground forces. great fun indeed but im getting 1 shotted all the damn time lol. feels like im always being put on the noob side as well. Won maybe 1 game in 15 and im by no means a noob player or gamer
