Has anyone used blade shadow? I'm waiting for the new GPUs to land and in the mean time I've googled a service called Blade Shadow which seems to offer a streamable gtx 1080 for £27/month... which seems ok if i just sign up for a few months until the new GPUs land. Any thoughts or has anyone had a bad experience with them?

To be honest I imagine you'd do better to buy a used card and sell it on for a reasonable loss, especially if it takes more than a couple of months for cards to becomes available. I've never enjoyed streamed graphics, even in-home Steam streaming.

Interested to hear from anyone who's used this service though.

I just signed up yesterday for a month to try it with my pixelbook. Couldn't get the Bluetooth mouse to work properly using the Android app, left click didn't work on the desktop and in game I couldn't use the mouse to look. I'll have to try with a Windows laptop.

Sounds a bit like Onlive in a different guise. They offered a small box too for your home. You need a 15Mb/s connection and they are aiming it at budget PC's and mobile devices. If you have a decent PC you aren't going to want this.

Yeah I'd just us my current rig or macbook pro. It looks interesting so I'll give is a try I guess once I finish skyrim on my 670. Its quite a cool concept. If my work had a decent wifi or internet connection, I'd be VERY tempted to get this to play with long term.

If there was some form of 4G dataplan which would support this I'd be very happy. I wonder if this counts as video streaming and would fall under vodafones free video pass...

Bit like geforce now , tried overwatch and not impressed , although that's down to my connection no doubt , 50mbps down and 30mbps up . compression is to much quality lost to make it viable ... And whilst input lag isn't bad ... It's certainly not great for multiplayer experiences ... Buy a cheap GPU IMO

I tried it for a couple of months (Geforce Now). It was fine for my son to use on the Shield, grab all the Lego games. As above wouldn't dream of using it for multiplayer.

I wanted it for later this month when I am away on business for two weeks. However, the mouse didn't work with my pixelbook so I'm cancelling. The graphics looked ok but not the same as the real thing on my PC. Lag wasn't bad but certainly not good enough for FPS. I ran it on my old laptop with 760 M GPU and I much preferred how games looked and felt using that old GPU. Nice idea but not quite there yet.

I wonder what happened to that streaming service Raja Koduri was promoting as it was supposed to using Vega's?

He had them on stage at a show talking about how their service was powered by Vega, I've never heard anything since. I can't even remember the name of the service.

Googled it and it's called LiquidSky, Has anyone tried them? Are they still around?

Get a used 780 or something to tide you over for a few months and play at medium settings. Job done. You can even keep the 780 as a backup for your new card.

Partners, AMD, Nvidia, etc.... LOL

MINIMUM INTERNET REQUIREMENTS
Having a strong and consistent internet connection is critical for a good experience. Poor connections lead to packet-loss, screen tearing and negative effects. The recommended internet speed is a minimum of 5Mb/sec and ideally 20Mb/s or more.
