Wake from sleep woes

I run W7 64bit Ultimate and can't for the life of me get the machine to wake from sleep consistently, which is a pain because I wish to relocate the tower unit out of sight and I don't want to be scrabbling around forever resetting it.

I can't explain why sometimes it does it and sometimes it wont. I have it set to wake from keyboard and sometimes the fault buzzer kicks in immediately and fails to wake up, then it restarts itself and sends me to the "windows did not shut down correctly" message.

Any advice/tips would be great, I'd like to get this nailed so it works faultlessly every time.

Anything in the eventlog that's different at the times it doesn't wake properly? Should be easy enough to see, it's more likely hardware though.

To get to event logs, go to start and type event viewer.
Down the left hand side expand Windows Logs, and then look through the Application and System logs for any errors.
Also check in your BIOS to see if the option to wake from Mouse/Keyboard is set. This will vary depending on your motherboard :)
