Im currently in the proccess of making a gaming / HTPC for the living room and had a thought about power saving etc.
I know the tv tuner card im putting in can do wake from S3 for scheduled recording then i thought well what about WOL but using wifi.??
Now i know that it may be dificult to do using a 54G card but what if i used a wireless bridge or an AP in bridge mode so the wifi connection remains on and when it sees a magic packet it send it to the htpc's LAN obviously the htpc's NIC needs to support WOL.
Has anyone done this? Or does anyone have any thoughts on this idea please.?
