Wake on lan

Hi guys
Does anyone know how I set up my pc so I can wake it up from logmein? Do i just enable wake on lan in the BIOS and is it safe from a hacking point of view?

There should be a "Wake-on-Lan" or "Power On By PCI Devices" option in BIOS.
Enable this, then you have to set up the device by ticking a box in the device manager properties: "Allow this device to wake the computer"

You're also going to have to set up port forwarding on your router and either use a service like DynDNS or get a static IP in order to send the magic packet to the computer. (assuming you want to do this from outside your home LAN)
