Hello all,
Have been fiddling with an overclock this last week and have hit a tiny snag.
The machine spec is shown in my signature but the changes I've made in the BIOS are: Knocked the multiplier down to 8x and set the FSB to 400MHz. I also latched the memory speed at 400MHz and had the multiplier set to run it at 1066Mhz. Everything else was set to auto as per the 'Load optimized defaults' option. I know this may not the best way to go about it but thought it'd be a decent way to figure out whether it'd push to 3.2Ghz.
Boots into Windows nice and quickly, on maximum load the cores reach 53°C which I don't think is too bad? Especially as the CPU fan was running on a low speed
). One problem however...whenever I put the computer to 'sleep' and then 'wake' it the computer doesn't POST and cycles through power on/power off. As it works OK the rest of the time this is a bit annoying, any suggestions?
Thanks!
