After taking my new D5200 to Tenby, South Wales, I managed to get one of my snaps in yesterdays Wales on Sunday paper :)

Visually having the horizon on the centre line cuts the image in half. It would (imo) be better to get closer to the building enough that is pushes the horizon lower in the frame which would reduce the 'dead' space that is the grass area and incorporating more on the interesting sky.

It's not a bad photo, just a slight composition change could have made it a stronger image :)

Well done again though!

Alternatively have the horizon line higher to emphasise the leading line of the path to the castle, also better positioning it vertically on the 3rd instead of just horizontally.

Well done for getting your picture in print... its a very nice shot.

AE's processing gives it a cool painterly feel

I like the composition in the edit, but the processing is horrid for that sort of image. The sky has been destroyed and it looks like an Instagram filter (which to be fair is what a lot of the vcso presets look like if not tweaked - I've got a few packs myself)

The original works best for the use it had, which was an as is shot of the area.

This, the composition is much better. The foreground is much more interesting than the sky. But the processing is ghastly IMO.
