Any of you who read these forum pages religiously will have seen some of my previous posts and realise that I have been deliberating recently on the various different MP3 player options available to me.
It's now come down to either an iPod Nano 6Gb or a Sony Walkman 6Gb. I really like the look of both and i'm sure that the sound quality is equaly as good for my needs. The walkman is a fair bit cheaper though so I'm starting to head in that direction.
The problem is that I spent quite a while converting every CD I own to MP3 via Windows Media Player (over 300 albums worth). My wife has an iPod Mini and my son has a Nano so I know that iTunes will happily copy across these mp3's to their players. What I need to know is if Sony's music library software which comes with the walkman will let me do the same? I am worried that because Sony own a record label, they will be extra hot on copy protection and ask me to insert every original Cd to convert music from it, and I will have to do the whole process all over again.
This is a birthday present from the wife - she will happily buy me which one I want but I have to chose wisely (her words not mine, I guess she has seen the amouint of things which I have bought and then changed my mind about and sold a few months later!) so here I am, asking you lovely guys and gals which one to buy, Walkman or iPod? pro's and con's on both would be appreciated as well as an answer to the above question.

p.s. does anyone know if the Sony Walkman 20Gb has a built in HDD or Flash memory - I quitye fancy a 20Gb but dont like the thought of the extra fragility of a HDD.
