Hi all.

Anyone on here still has, collects old classic Walkmans ?

Just dug out some of mine and and I think I will flog them.

Will post some pics of individual units later if anyone is intrested ;)

Awesome collection, although I was a bit later to personal music players and skipped cassette.

I had numerous cd players, and jumped onto mp3 cd players, including a Freecom 8cm mini cd model.
Of course flash memory quickly came down in price and I moved to flash MP3 players.


Am i right in thinking that some models of Walkman could play both sides of the tape, and could automatically skip tracks?
yes, some of those on the pic can skip tracks, change sides, one has option to slow down and speed up as well

one bottom left, has built in headphones with a winder ;)

will add pics as I take more - need for auction site anyway :)
 
well..just broke EX707 :(

changed belt on it, and while reassembling, snapped one connector off from front pcb..now front panel won't work...shame on me...

even if I would have soldering iron, my bad eyesight would not help...

on auction site for parts now :( possibly £100 loss here...

2nd EX707...
new belt in, spins, but something not fully workimg as won't spin and play, just brief spins...

maybe somone can mix parts from both 707s and can get one working LOL
