I have some parts of my wall that plaster has came off when removing tiles, about 2cm deep and significant area, what's the cheapest/best stuff I can use to fill, tubs of polyfilla seem way too expensive

You could use an expanding foam filler but you'd probably be better off with some large hole filler, this tends to be better at being applied thickly. Screwfix or B&Q would stock such stuff. (quickly checks that Screwfix and B&Q aren't OCUK competitors - nope should be ok).

Andi.

With price of Tetrion, it works out considerably cheaper to buy a bag of one coat plaster.
Agreed, also with a filler such as tetrion/polyfilla, you'd need to build it up in several layers due to the depth of the holes. Another material i always try to blag at work is the dry liners filling compound. Excellent stuff for shallow imperfections. And a tub lasts ages.
