Taking a hedge down in the next couple of weeks to free up some space for new sheds but need to replace the hedge with a 1m high fence on top of a 6" block wall.
Original plan was to use these

But the dimensions put the top plate bolt holes too close to the edge.

Second option is

Drill centre of the wall and resin fix these in.

Anybody done this recently or used the above options for feedback?

Backup plan is to fix studs up the whole height of the wall but hoping to avoid this.

I'm in the middle of doing something similar.
You want to be careful putting standard fencing on top of walls as they act as sails in stormy weather, which can bring the wall down - like this...

The most of this wall was single skin.

Wall was rebuilt a while back, just in the process of putting up custom hit-and-miss fencing that allows air flow. I've done most of one side so far. Just need to do the end bit and the other side now. The posts were fixed using lightning bolts.
You can buy fence pre-made panels similar to this (the slats are wider), which will work out cheaper than the stuff I've used here.
