Wall mounting TV question...

Just moved house and the place I bought has got a TV wall mount above the fire place. Previous owner kindly left it on the wall for me, so it's fixed but no bolts for the TV itself. I had the TV on a cabinet in my old place, but I'd like to get rid of that.

I googled it and thought it was M8 / 22mm but they won't quite fit through the hole. Has anyone got any idea what bolt size/length I need? TV is a fair few years old. It's a Samsung LE40A559P4F

I'd just buy a new one. You can pick one up for a tenner.

Exchanged the M8 / 22mm bolts for some M6 / 16mm bolts. If these don't fit I will probably change the wall mount but I want to avoid drilling more holes if I can.
