Wall mounting - where is perfect

I’ve had my tv on a stand forever and think I might go for finally mounting my new one on the wall so I can mount my playbar under it.

How do you work out the perfect height? Is it as simple as where looks alright. Or is there a science to it.

Thanks

Part science, part what pleases. Science suggests the centre of the screen should be about 42" off the floor (based on sofa seat height and average person sitting height when in said seat).

Myself I always go a bit higher and aim for the bottom of the screen to be about where my chin is when sitting normally on my sofa.

Don't make the mistake that 90% of people do and have it so high up you need to look upwards all the time. I would always aim to have it at a height where my eyes are just about at the top of the screen when sitting down in the sofa.

Nice thanks. Now because I’m an idiot and will prob screw it up, and it’s a stud wall and a seriously expensive tv, I’m going to get a pro in to do it. They should be all over the science side of it I guess.

Anything I should watch out for?
