Hey,

I currently have a 55" C9, wall-mounted on one of those flat to the wall mounts. When I bought it, it was listed as a mount for a 40-55" TV (picture of basically the same mount)

I've just bought a 65" CX and wanted to use the same mount and just swap them over, and given it uses the same mounting position/size on the back of the TV, I see no reason why I can't, even if the mount says it's only for a TV up to 55".

Do VESA mounting sizes not make the quoted mount capability irrelevant? Or is it going by weight?

Should I buy a new mount or am I correct in thinking I can use the existing one?

Thanks

If it's an older bracket it should be fine, the bracket I bought for my 55" was quoted for 32" to 55" tv's with a weight limit of 45kg, OLEDs are quite a bit lighter. My 32" LCD and 55" OLED weigh the same.

Yes you should be fine, in fact the guy in currys told me the same when I asked he said as long as the Vesa fits the TV you should be golden. It was good for me at the time because there was an offer on the bracket that got me money off when purchased with the TV and anything bigger than 55inches was more expensive.
