I’ve got a feature wall to wallpaper, no corners thankfully, so I’ve watched just about every YouTube video out there!

One thing that seemed a common occurrence is that the paste the wall methods seemed easier than the paste the paper, for a novice. The paper I have says paste the paper but some people seem to suggest that you can use paste the wall paste with paste the paper?

Any other wallpapering tips greatly recevied thanks.

There is no difference between pastes. You just make it stronger.

Paste the wall is very very easy, well with the extra.
Don't use the paste the wall method with normal paper it won't work.

I pasted the paper on a paper table, just measure the drop and add 10/20 cm

Paste the paper, fold a quarter to itself, hang it whilst manoeuvring it into position then pull down the quarter, cut the excess with a sharp Stanley blade.

Make sure the blade is fresh or it will snag

It's pretty easy on square walls, not so much on the landing area!

Don't worry if you make minor mistakes on edges where it meets the ceiling, skirting or sides, use a thin bead of decorators chalk to cover

Paste on the paper. Grab a cheap wall papering table for a few quid. I used to use scissors but I learned the taping knife + super sharp knife approach:

It really isn't difficult. Wall paper is super forgiving too. Just make sure you take the time to line your patterns up.

This is as simple as it gets:
Instead of the ruler use the taping knife I linked to above.

I always struggled with wallpapering untill my mate who is a decorator gave me the tips.

Cut at least 6 lengths then paste them all folding them edge to middle then other edge to middle -hang over a chair and so on. - when all are pasted put up the first one -it will just slide on - use the plastic thing you flatten it onto wall with and done -No bubbles and very easy. I wasted a lot of years and ruining loads of wallpaper up till then.
