Wasn't really sure where to put this but I'm after something that lets me select pictures from multiple folders for a slideshow. As standard you can choose one folder at a time but everything is sorted by landscape, animals etc plus a couple of folders of my own pictures.

Cheers.

Can you not just put all your pictures you want to use as wallpaper into one folder?

Might be an easier solution...

I could, if there weren't more than a couple of thousand images all named 'IMG_0001.jpg' etc. I want to be able to find things in a reasonable amount of time and this was the best way of doing it.

Plus I have a folder called 'Phone' with subfolders which I obviously put everything I want on my phone into as iTunes file management is hell. :)

A little light reading for ya;

tags

smart folders

It's one of those things that you never really bother with, but once you've got the knack it's a massively useful tool.

Awesome, thanks. So right now I'm in the best position to tag everything correctly since it's already separated and then I can just dump it all together. I didn't know you could use multiple ones, seems obvious now. :D

You don't have to move anything, mate. A smart folder is just a saved search - but it creates a 'virtual folder' to make things a bit easier to use in apps other than finder.

If you do decide to dump everything together and just use tags - TAKE CARE;

or you could lose some piccies.

Thanks for the warning, I keep a couple of different iPhone libraries on here so that would have gone badly. I've not come across that problem in all the time I've had this thing. :eek:
