Hey all I was wondering when the best time to buy a 55"/65" 4k would be, do they tend to drop in April/may?

In terms of quality is an edge lit 65" going to look worse than the same edge lit 55"? I would like the quality to be similar/better than my current Sony 2014 TV (w705 series)

In terms of price I see a couple contenders:
Hi sense 65" m7000 (anyone here got one?)
Samsung k7000 series (do they do a 65" version?)

Max price I think around £1200, are there better branded 65" around this price?? Or will there be come May?

Im going to wall mount it in the position my current 42" TV is (pics below).
The picture might be slightly skewed but it's basically in the corner of a very large room, I've measured and a 65" would (not quite) be touching both speakers, which I can move further apart.

In terms of function I generally use it for gaming and general TV watching. We also watch the occasional movie but not loads (I would like OLED but the 65" price is too much for me!) . I'll be wanting this for 5+ years so will be JL/RS purchase.

I have a 2014 model samsung H6400 and its great for 1080p. Im not to sure if i want the ks7000 49" version if it would be much of a step up in quality. OLED is a different story

One thing I want to avoid is the 6000 series. My dad has one of them (first Samsung 4k screens - I may have got the type wrong) and the motion/colour doesn't look great and my Sony TV looks far better :X!
Particularly bad motion blur on that TV when watching "pointless" on BBC which is odd really!

Sonny, are you suggesting there's still time for them to drop in price by April?

Seen that I can get Panasonic TX-58DX700B for £600 refurbished from Panasonic on eBay.... Bit of a curveball. Anyone got one?
Edit: looked at reviews and poor viewing angle and poor HDR put me off.

Whats the best prices people have seen for the Samsung 55ks7000 and 65?

Hnng the £700mark up for a TV that is 10" bigger is a bit painful, I think I'll maybe wait and see if the 65ks7000 gets cheaper... I see that the new models haven't released yet for Samsung q7 / 8 /9000 series
