Hi guys :).

I would quite like to get a Intel Pentium K Anniversary CPU and a motherboard to have some fun overclocking.

I was planning on using this in my second 'networked' PC. Currently housing an i5 2300 with a Corsair H60 cooler (albeit with x2 screw threads gone). I hae a Gigabyte H61M-S2V-B3 motherboard so I'm assuming this would now be redundant?

Would it be crazy replacing a quad core CPU with this Anniversary one? I only use it for running a few programs and web browsing.

Would combo with a motherboard would you recommend?

Cheers guys,

Alex.

What programs do you run?

You play any games?

If you're literally just web browsing and using Office (let's say) you'll notice 0 (zero) difference..

All in all are you willing to spend £110ish on a bit of fun?

Mainly program's that run alongside FSX. Other things like Netflix, youtube etc.

I just always fancied that anniversary CPU to see how far I could clock.

Am i right in thinking FSX is single threaded, if so you may be able tosustain you're current performance (with a huge OC).

I have fancied one too, if im honest with you. :)
