Want a netbook but dont have a clue?

Looking at spending around £200 but i've noticed most of them come with Linux and this puts me off a little.

Is it anything to worry about or should i stick with XP only?

Will be mainly used for web browsing and msn.

What information can you give me and what can you recommend?

The linux distro it comes with is fantastic for what it's supposed to be doing if I'm honest.

It has a Messenger client that works with AIM/MSN and a few other big players, Firefox Browser built into it, an email client built in. Open Office.org installed so you've got your free versions of Excel, Word and Powerpoint etc.

They've really crammed everything you could need for a basic portable netbook onto it and the 8gb SSD model leaves you with around 4-5GB free IIRC.

Excellent 4/5GB should be more than enough. Am I able to transfer files (pics/vids) through a USB pen to my main Vista computer?
