will be my first build so do i need cables etc???? or are they supplied!

so many questions :o

That mobo has issues with the GSkill memory, HZ is fine iirc but the NR stuff wont work, old bios on the board boots the memory at CAS4 when the memory is rated CAS5, so you'll need to grab another stick just to get it to boot.

Someone stop me if i'm wrong.

Avoid the chance of it not working and take a look at GeiL or Corsair.

what about the abit AB9 that has been suggested above, how does that compare to the DS3?

DS3 has been a popular and favorite amongst the OC crowd, don't know about the Abit, more DS3 users here i think.

Best asking someone who has the Abit.

right updated list.

tried to stick with the DS3, so went for geil RAM, as it is well tested on here. but to keep the budget fairly low i have gone for the lower PC5300.
will this be ok?

and any more suggestions?

cheers for the help guys.
