You've no doubt heard/seen videos of those train horns you see in the states, hornblasters.com are popular. However, they just do freight train horns, and as such, only really fit the image of a truck, since it's big, imposing and unstoppable, why a freight train horn is so fitting.

Now, I drive a honda Prelude, 5th gen, so a freight train horn is not befitting of a nimble japanese high-performance sports coupé, thus, and intercity two tone horn would be much better :D

There's a vid I found on the tube, with examples similar to what I want to go for at 1:28, and 2:08, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5HKZUMy62Q

I wanted a two tone horn, in a kind of deee-dooooo-de rhythm, which I've heard, but cannot find a video of.

I do not drive excessively fast on motorways, never doing occasionally double the prescribed limit at all on a clear stretch :p So if, while I'm not doing this, I see a car in the distance, an intercity horn would be perfect as I overtake him appropriately :D

Win!

Suggestions to where I could buy one would be good :p

Pahh, those train drivers are to reserved. Reading > Paddington drivers have the right attitude. Meep Meep for much longer than that ^ aha.

You cant just slap the horns on and expect them to work. The horn systems used a large air tank which is pressurised and has an air pump connected to them to produce the pressure needed to put enough air through them to make a huge sound. And also the horns themselves arent exactly small so you have to contend where to install a 2 foot long horn.

Wow, they are gonna induce a heart attack for someone doing that :s

Im sure the novelty will wear off.

Presumably if you left the original horn in place and installed the new horn on a seperate switch then technically it would be no different from having a loud stereo that can be heard outside the car and thus legal.

I can't believe someone would go to the trouble of recording trains driving past for personal pleasure and to post on the internet.

Get a proper version of this. My mother has a compressor run version in her landrover (H reg 110 Deffender, not one of those nocey new city things) as a secondary horn, it is awesome!
