Want multi monitors for EVE and photo editing

As title says, I would like a multi monitor setup for playing EVE online, supreme commander 2, and for photo editing, which monitors would be best for this?

Prefer not to spend too much, would be looking at 2-3 monitors, running from my SLI 460's

I hear IPS is best for photo editing, been looking at dell but they all have poor refresh rates of like 6-8ms

Would like LED as uses less power and saves me money in the long run, and something thats not going to cause too much eye strain.

Ideas?

What do you do most of, photo editing or gaming? Do you have a budget and what size do you need?
 
Budget is workable, as i can buy them one at a time

Size depends i have a sammy t240 atm and its ok size, so i would say 23"+

Working as multi monitor would be nice with smaller monitor surround, also if people think my twin 460's will cope

I will mostly be doing the gaming, but for the photo/web work i need perfect colours

Do i need fast refresh for eve and supreme commander 2?

want a reliable trustworthy monitor thats going to last a while :D

I use 3 x Dell U2410 for gaming (EVE, SWTOR, FSX and odd FPS) and also for photo work and general use.

Absolutely no issues with them for gaming and when used with a calibration tool, great for editing

Slight difference is I am running them in Eyefinity, so Red solution as opposed to Green

edit:- the colourometer I have is the Eye One Display 2 by X-Rite. Very easy to use.
