Bought a 36" Sony CRT about 5 years ago and it's still working (annoyingly), the TV won't fit in any other room and it doesn't seem like anyone wants to buy them any more!

What are my options? Is there anyone who would buy it off me?

They still seem to go for good money on the bay - depending on model, location for pick up etc.

We recently sold a 32" Black 10 year old Sony CRT for £25 locally couldn’t be bothered to put it on the bay but they were fetching £60 - £80 on there.

Freecycle is a definite good idea :) My old 28" is sat in my old bedroom at my parents house....they're still using the 21" CRT I had before that!

Alternatively see what pretty colours you can make with magnets ;)

my dad just sold our 10 year old 28" panasonic to students for £50. He posted in in the paper and as soon as they moved in for the academic year it dissapeared quicker then an essex girl's underwear.

I'm trying to convince my girlfriend to get rid of the 22" CRT we've got in the bedroom, I really want to put a Panasonic 42" Plasma in the lounge and move the 28" LCD we've got into the bedroom.

She keeps saying it's got sentimental values, it's her first TV and all that...

I'm tempted to hit it with a sledge hammer and blame her for it, saying she must have been sleep DIYing again.

It's something like KV36FS70
Interested. The problem is transporting the beast! (I'm assuming it weights a tonne)..

Where abouts in the lakes are you?

You might want to make a post in MM if you are interested in a sale, not sure on the rules for chatting bout this sort of stuff :).

Better still, put a vase of flowers on top of said CRT TV, then knock the vase accidentally backward so the contents of said vase (water) will go into the back of the tv while its on, that way you can still blame her & have a sensible blame. ;)

Weighs like 200 lbs, North West lakes.

But as you said there's rules about trading outside MM so that's as much info as I can give, not really 100% sure on what to do with it yet but I'll keep you in mind, is your trust email current?
